Tikkamäki, fitness stairs and a place to go downhill
Tikkamäki is located at Tikkasensuora 80. The new address may not appear in navigators, so you can also find Mökkiperäntie 80 with the address.
Driving directions: When coming from Soroisentie, continue straight towards Mökkiperäntie (Tikkasensuora). When coming from Timpurintie, turn left to Mökkiperäntie (Tikkasensuora). Continue along Tikkasensuora for about 600 meters to the end of the road. The hill is behind the ski track, on the right.

Frisbee golf
A sport for the whole family, which combines the joy of outdoor activities, being together and practicing precision.
There is a full-scale 18-lane forest track in Illinsaarie. The throwing platforms and baskets of the track that goes around the llinsaari outdoor recreation area are positioned to run mainly along forest paths. The course starts behind the Illinsaari ski lodge, and the total length of the course is about 2 kilometers. The course is AA1 classified, which means the course is best for more advanced enthusiasts with a longer fairway, but of course it is also used by enthusiasts of all levels. The duration of the tour is estimated to be around 90-120 minutes, but for example you can take a break a little before the 11-väylä launch site at the barbecue hut, which also has a toilet next to it.

Tikkanen's frisbee golf course there are nine lanes. The total length of the track is 271 meters. The track is especially suitable for juniors and is suitable for year-round use, even in winter.
In the Ii area, there are also 3 easy beginner's frisbee golf courses (individual baskets) in connection with the sports fields in the center of Kuivaniemi, Olhava and Ii.
Geocaching
The municipality of Ii has its own 8-part geocache series Roots in Ii, which presents Ii's great natural sites, as well as nationally known persons who have roots deep in Ii.
Geocache location information, i.e. coordinates, and descriptions can be found at geocaching.com. A Finnish user can also register on the Finnish site geocache.fi, which retrieves its data from an international site. Registration is free of charge. A network connection and a device or smartphone suitable for GPS positioning are sufficient to start geocaching. You can also search for geocaches using just a map.
The caches are located in the area of Ii, Kuivaniemi, Olhava and Oijärvi. By logging in to the geocaching.com website, you can access the coordinates that lead to these beautiful landscape locations, get to know known and somewhat unknown leeches.
Bird watching
Bird watching is a nice hobby for the whole family, which can be combined with a holiday like camping or kayaking. There are many suitable places for birdwatching in the Ii region, as the estuaries of the Ii, Kuivaniemi and Olhava rivers are e.g. the nesting area of the mallard, the teal, the tufted merganser and the whooper swan.
The area of Ii Hiastinlahti belongs to the Natura 2000 nature reserve and is a nationally important bird water destination. In the national Battle of the Towers, up to 90 species of birds have been observed in one day.
In addition, Voosijärvi near the Hyry village in Kuivaniemi, Tuuliaava and Ison Heposuo marsh conservation area is known as an area rich in birds.
Iin Koirapuisto in Illinsaari
The dog park has been established as a volunteer effort, and is for free public use (so not only for members, but for everyone). You can get there along Kemintie, turning onto Illinsaari road. The dog park is right next to the road, on the left.
