Finland's 1st steam saw memorial
The sawmill was founded by Oulu businessmen JGBergholm, JWSnellman, FJFrantzén, JSHedman and F.Granberg.
Construction work began in 1858, and Senate approval was obtained in 1859.
The sawmill was completed and operations began in 1860.
The name of the sawmill became Gestilä Ångsågverk (later Iin steam saw Oy).
The sawmill stopped operating in 1908. The sawmill's barrel has been preserved as a memorial.

Pekka Vesainen's statue
The statue sculpted by Kalervo Kallio was completed in 1940,
and was lifted into place after the church was completed in 1950.
Pekka Vesainen was an ancient peasant and guerilla leader,
who led revenge expeditions to Karelia and defended his homeland
against Russian extermination and looting expeditions.

Seals statue
The statue made by artist Erkki Lehtola was erected in 1992
In honor of Kuivaniemi municipality's 125th anniversary. Reserve the statue

Marion's scoop
The bucket of the giant excavator named Mario, which dredged the Iijokea in the Raasaka area in the 60s, is located on Iin Ylirantna and serves as a monument to the power plant construction. The work on the excavator ended in 1972 after the upper canal was completed and it was scrapped in 1996. 44 railcars were needed to transport the excavator, the bucket alone weighs 16 tons. The area around the location of the bucket is maintained by the Yrilanta village association. The area is a popular place to stop and fry sausages. Next to the bucket is an information board about the working of the giant machine.

War memorials

Finnish war memorial
The monument was erected by the Oulu garrison and the Kuivaniemi home district association in 1964 in memory of the two non-commissioned officers and 30-40 soldiers who fell in the Finnish war and were buried at this place by the Finnish-Swedish army. Ooland War Memorial
Hannes Paaso and Paavo Hilke have built a monument to the battle during the Oolanni War on the dry Häskeri rock. An English warship anchored near Hietakalla, and using a battle boat, the English tried twice to rob the Kiwi Nieminese's goods, but without success. The gunmen from Kuiuniemi chased the enemy away, but they had time to burn 4 guns. The monument was unveiled in 1964. Lapland war memorial
